Responsibilities
Review, check, and design electrical drawings for electrical power substations
Review and check electrical drawings for electrical facilities
Conduct Station Service system analysis
Conduct short circuit and Arc Flash studies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or directly related engineering discipline
6 months of experience and knowledge of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and practices applicable to components and facilities found on a regional transmission system
6 months of experience in performing design or technical review of high voltage substation physical designs in at least one of the following disciplines: Protective Relay and Control, Metering/SCADA, RAS, or HV Outdoor Equipment
Experience should include new substations, capacity additions, line/position extensions, reliability/automation improvements, equipment relocations/replacements, maintenance, and as-builts
6 months of experience working with professional engineering theory and techniques sufficient to provide technical leadership in the design of the physical components of substations
6 months' experience in electrical substation projects for new substations, capacity additions, line/position extensions, reliability/automation improvements, equipment relocations/replacements, maintenance, and as-built
Valid U.S. Driver's License/Real ID is required
Preferred
1 year of experience in QA/QC for electrical substation projects
1 year of experience in Short Circuit and Arc Flash Study
1 year of experience with software programs to include Easy Power for arc flash studies
1 year of experience with Bluebeam Revu or Adobe Pro
1 year of experience with MicroStation or AutoCAD
1 year of experience with File Structure System ProjectWise
