Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is seeking a Nursing Intern for their Orthopedics Unit. The Nursing Intern will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide care to patients and perform clinical procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide care to patients with a variety of conditions, acuity levels, telemetry monitoring status, and treatment plans
Perform clinical procedures and provide patient care for assigned patients under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse
Perform direct and indirect patient care activities
Provide support to other health care team members
Perform technical tasks per unit competency validation

Qualification

Nursing school enrollmentCertified nursing assistantBasic Life SupportFundamentals of care coursePatient care supportCollaboration skills

Required

Be enrolled in a formal nursing school
Have a certified nursing assistant certificate
Successfully completed SLHS NA internal training program
Completed their fundamentals of care course in nursing school
Less than 1 year of applicable experience
Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
