Responsibilities
Backup and Recovery: Implementing and maintaining backup procedures to ensure data can be restored in case of system failures
Performance Tuning: Analyzing query execution plans, optimizing database indexes, and identifying performance bottlenecks to improve database efficiency
Data Security: Enforcing access controls, managing user permissions, and implementing security measures to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access
Qualification
Required
Extensive exp in RDBMS
Database Design: Creating database structures, defining data relationships, and optimizing database schema to efficiently store and retrieve data
Database Installation and Maintenance: Installing, configuring, and upgrading database software, applying patches, and managing database updates
Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Continuously monitoring database performance, identifying and resolving issues, and alerting relevant teams about potential problems
Capacity Planning: Forecasting future data storage needs and planning for database scaling to accommodate growing data volumes
Compliance Management: Ensuring database operations adhere to relevant data privacy regulations and compliance standards
User Support: Providing training and assistance to application developers and end-users on database access and usage
Collaboration: Working with application developers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and integrate database solutions
