Financial Reporting and Asset Management Analyst

LHH is partnered with a real estate private equity firm in the Annapolis, MD market that is seeking a highly motivated Financial Reporting & Asset Management Analyst to join their team. The Analyst will play a critical role in developing reporting outputs, supporting performance analysis, and contributing to strategic asset management initiatives.

Responsibilities

Produce a variety of financial and operational reports that deliver clear, data‑driven conclusions
Consolidate and interpret large datasets to uncover performance drivers and operational trends
Support monthly and quarterly reporting cycles by preparing analyses, commentary, and performance summaries
Assist in assembling annual budgets, periodic reforecasts, and long‑range financial scenarios
Construct, refine, and maintain property- and portfolio-level cash flow models
Track ongoing financial activity—including revenue streams, expenses, and capital outlays—to ensure accurate projections
Conduct scenario modeling to evaluate potential outcomes, risks, and strategic alternatives
Partner with asset managers to monitor asset‑level metrics, market conditions, and progress against business plans
Aid in the design and execution of strategies that strengthen asset performance and value creation
Participate in due diligence efforts tied to acquisitions, dispositions, and financing events
Utilize reporting tools and financial software to support scalable, accurate financial workflows
Recommend refinements to reporting processes to improve output quality and efficiency
Assist in optimizing analytics platforms—including Excel models, BI dashboards, and property management systems—to increase transparency and decision-making speed

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, or a similar discipline
1–3 years of analytical experience in finance, accounting, real estate, or a related field (internships accepted)
Strong proficiency in Excel with the ability to manipulate large datasets and build structured models
Strong analytical reasoning skills with an ability to identify key insights from complex data
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings and supporting recommendations

Preferred

Experience with analytics or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Adaptive Insights, Rent Manager)
