Install/Repair Tech Supervisor
Direct Communications is dedicated to delivering exceptional internet services to rural communities. The Install/Repair Tech Supervisor is primarily responsible for leading and managing a team of telecommunications technicians, overseeing the installation and maintenance of telecommunication systems, and ensuring optimal network performance.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of telecommunications technicians, setting schedules, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they perform their duties effectively
Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of telecommunication systems, including voice and data networks
Develop and implement procedures and best practices for the operation of telecommunications systems to ensure reliability and optimal performance
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to identify and resolve problems promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring uninterrupted communication services
Assist with management of new fiber build projects
Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to understand their telecommunications requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and standards related to telecommunications systems
Conduct regular audits and assessments of the telecommunications infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and recommend necessary changes accordingly
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to telecommunications, data privacy, and network security
Complete other tasks and responsibilities assigned by management
Qualification
Required
Manager/Supervisor experience
Solid work ethic and ability to self-manage with a firm commitment to safety
Comfortable working in an outdoor setting, walking significant distances each day in all types of weather
Ability to deal with all manner of field hazards, including uneven terrain in dirt, grass or on streets and sidewalks
Routinely lifts up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs
Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Technical Learning Agility: Picks up on technical things quickly, enjoys the challenge of learning, adapts quickly when facing new problems
Quality Problem Solving: Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions
