Responsibilities
Performs advanced work in the administration, design, analysis, testing, implementation, and technical support of complex multi-user software and hardware systems
Analyzes needs and formulates specifications
Provides administration of the Department’s Microsoft Active Directory, Anti-virus system, and Software and Security Patches
Provides installation, troubleshooting, repair, and configuration of computer hardware and software as needed
Provides training and support to other employees as needed
Monitors system performance to ensure effective system response
Performs administration/diagnostics/upgrades of a complex Local Area Network (LAN)/Server or minicomputer environment
Maintains a server development environment that will be used to test software and security patches
Develops and maintains policies and procedures for managing computer resources
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or closely related field
Related Associate's Degree or an unrelated Bachelor's Degree; minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting computer hardware and software systems
Graduation from high school/equivalent recognized certification; minimum of four (4) years of experience supporting computer hardware and software systems
Must be able to lift 40 pounds
Preferred
At least 2 years of experience and knowledge in the implementation/administration of Microsoft Windows environment, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Office, Software and security patches, project management, user support, and training
Experience with the latest Windows OS, MS Office, Maximo, Document Management Solution, and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
Experience installing, repairing, and maintaining computer hardware, software, and peripherals
Three (3) or more years of related experience
