Responsibilities
Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations, and journal entries
Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure accurate, timely transaction processing
Prepare and review monthly financial statements and location-level reports with variance analysis
Translate financial results into operational insights and performance drivers
Lead the month-end close process to deliver accurate and timely reporting
Review reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries for completeness and accuracy
Partner with finance leadership on variance explanations and strategic insights
Identify root causes behind financial trends and implement corrective actions
Maintain and enhance internal control frameworks to safeguard company assets
Ensure compliance with GAAP, audit standards, and internal policies
Conduct regular control reviews and documentation audits
Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation
Lead and develop accounting professionals across AP, AR, and payroll functions
Foster analytical thinking and business understanding within the team
Build a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous improvement
Partner with IT and Operations to enhance ERP systems, reporting tools, and automation
Improve workflows to increase efficiency and data transparency
Drive KPI reporting aligned with operational and financial performance
Lead digitization and process improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in leadership
Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, reconciliations, and month-end close
Advanced Excel and financial reporting/BI tool proficiency
Preferred
CPA or MBA
Experience in multi-location or utilization-based environments
