Akkodis Group Nordics is seeking an Enterprise Architect for a contract job with a client in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will lead large-scale enterprise architectural initiatives and design end-to-end solutions across distributed systems and Java-based applications.

Responsibilities

Architect end‑to‑end solutions across distributed and host environments
Design, implement, and maintain large‑scale Java‑based applications and microservices
Solve complex problems related to high‑performance distributed systems
Provide direction, guidance, and definition of IT platform architecture to support business and IT strategy
Support all architectural disciplines and champion architectural initiatives throughout the organization
Review existing business processes and establish metrics to improve efficiency and performance
Align enterprise architecture strategy with business goals and long‑term vision
Define, communicate, and advocate technology and platform strategy
Develop and maintain architectural policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures
Lead teams in developing technology roadmaps, architecture plans, and multi‑year strategies

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
10+ years of hands‑on Java/Spring development experience
Strong experience in microservices architecture and system design
Skilled in enterprise architecture frameworks such as NASCIO, TOGAF, or FE
Background in architecture design, deployments, systems lifecycle management, and infrastructure planning
Strong understanding of software design, design patterns, OO principles, performance scaling, and functional design
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL)
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud, and virtualized infrastructures
