Exercising discretion in the conduct of litigation and administrative contested cases
Analyzing the legal ramifications of situations and recommending agency action
Providing legal advice, litigation strategy and conduct, investigations, and negotiations in areas of responsibility and tasks assigned
Briefing the chief legal counsel and director's office on significant strategies and progress
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctorate degree
Admission to the Montana State Bar
24 months of progressively more responsibility and experience as a practicing attorney
Specific civil trial/hearing experience
Preferred
Subject matter experience in administrative law
Subject matter experience in natural resource and environmental law
Subject matter experience in real estate law
