ISC Coordinator
The N.C. Department of Information Technology is seeking an ISC Coordinator to work within the Division of Community Supervision. This role involves managing the transfer of offenders across state lines and ensuring compliance with interstate compact regulations while maintaining effective relationships with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Represent the interests of North Carolina in the management of offenders requesting transfer to another state and those transferred into North Carolina under the Interstate Compact guidelines
Work as part of a team responsible for managing approximately 6,000 offenders requesting transfer to another state and those transferred into North Carolina under the Interstate Compact (ISC) guidelines
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with judicial officials, law enforcement officers, community agencies, general public and co-workers
Possess thorough knowledge and understanding of sentencing laws and their relative impact on Community Supervision sanctions
Utilize critical thinking skills to consider pros and cons before making decisions or rendering judgments
Manage time effectively and complete assignments per established deadlines and policy, following up on all processes in the ICOTS system
Ensure that all requests are responded to per DCS Policy & ICAOS rules
Maintain calm and rational composure when dealing with difficult situations and individuals
Demonstrate effective listening skills and maintain a professional manner with impatient or aggressive callers
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in HR, budgeting, research or administrative management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with judicial officials, law enforcement officers, community agencies, general public and co-workers
Thorough knowledge and understanding of sentencing laws and their relative impact on Community Supervision sanctions
Critical thinking skills to consider pros and cons before making decisions or rendering judgments
Effective time management and organizational skills to independently complete assignments per established deadlines and policy
Ability to maintain a calm and rational composure when dealing with difficult situations and individuals
Effective listening skills and the ability to maintain a professional manner with impatient or aggressive callers
Preferred
At least one year of experience as a Probation/Parole Officer or Judicial Services Coordinator
Thorough knowledge of determining appropriate offender levels, a working knowledge of the N.C. General Statutes, the Parole Commission, the section of Prisons, and the Interstate Compact for Adult Offender Supervision rules
Extensive experience in positions requiring effective verbal communication
Customer service experience
An Intermediate level of experience within the ICOTS system
