Workday SME & Product Owner
ConsultNet Technology Services and Solutions is seeking a Workday Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Product Owner to lead a high-visibility Workday initiative. This role is responsible for driving the overall Workday strategy, roadmap, and delivery plan across multiple workstreams, ensuring stakeholder alignment and successful implementation of system and data changes.

Responsibilities
Act as the primary Workday functional lead and product owner, ensuring alignment between business objectives, technology, and operational readiness
Develop and maintain the project roadmap, milestones, and delivery schedule in coordination with project management and implementation partners
Lead workstream planning and execution across legal entity, cost center, employee transfer, and data conversion activities
Identify and engage all required stakeholders across HR, Finance, Tax, Real Estate, and IT functions
Ensure program milestones are met in alignment with broader organizational separation and go-live timelines
Oversee configuration and validation of new and revised legal entities, supervisory organizations, cost centers, and location structures
Define and enforce hiring and recruiting restrictions within Workday to maintain compliance with spin-off and entity separation policies
Partner with implementation consultants to guide solution design, configuration decisions, and functional testing
Ensure changes comply with governance, reporting, and internal controls requirements
Manage data mapping, conversion, and validation between legacy and new Workday environments
Partner with Finance and Data Management teams to coordinate delivery of cost center and legal entity data
Ensure accuracy of employee transfers, reporting structures, and time/absence eligibility rules across entities
Define reporting requirements to support payroll, benefits, and compliance during the transition period
Partner with functional teams to assess existing reports and identify new reporting needs
Support the development and validation of data extracts to ensure smooth transition between systems
Serve as the Workday liaison between business stakeholders, functional SMEs, and the implementation partner
Facilitate requirements workshops, decision meetings, and status updates with project leadership
Identify process gaps or risks and propose practical mitigation plans
Support ongoing coordination across multiple global regions and functions
Oversee the decommissioning of temporary configurations and validations once migration activities are complete
Ensure all transitional rules and data elements are cleanly removed or archived post-cutover
Qualification
Required
7 years of Workday functional experience with strong expertise in Core HCM, Organizational Management, and foundational configuration (legal entities, cost centers, supervisory orgs, locations)
Proven experience as a Workday Product Owner or SME leading complex global programs, ideally involving divestitures or legal entity restructures
Strong understanding of data conversion, integration dependencies, and governance processes
Ability to interpret and translate business and regulatory requirements into actionable Workday configuration solutions
Demonstrated success managing multiple cross-functional stakeholders and third-party implementation partners
Excellent project planning, communication, and analytical skills
Experience working in large, matrixed organizations with tight deadlines and parallel initiatives
