Responsibilities
Manage identity and access: Entra groups, service principals, role assignments, and security audits
Administer Lakehouse security, ensuring least privilege access and compliance with governance policies
Configure Databricks catalogs, schemas, SQL warehouses, and compute clusters; support onboarding of new teams
Monitor platform operations: jobs, dashboards, compute usage, and cost optimization
Maintain Dataflow Diagrams and documentation for data assets, transformations, and dependencies
Communicate changes to downstream data consumers and review Enterprise Architecture (EA) templates
Establish and maintain Lakehouse administration standards, best practices, and SOPs
Collaborate with platform engineers and cross-functional teams to support solution architecture and continuous improvement
Stay updated on Databricks releases and industry best practices; share knowledge across teams
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience with Databricks, Lakehouse architecture, and cloud-based data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Expertise in identity and access management, including Entra groups, service principals, and role-based access controls
Experience managing SQL warehouses, compute clusters, and Databricks catalogs/schemas
Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance standards
Proficiency in monitoring tools, job scheduling, dashboards, and cost optimization in a data platform environment
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-team and stakeholder engagement
Experience documenting Dataflow Diagrams, SOPs, and administration standards
Familiarity with enterprise architecture (EA) templates and IT governance processes
Proactive in learning new features, preview releases, and continuously improving platform operations
