Thrive IT Consulting is seeking an IT Support Engineer to assist with PC refresh activities and provide technical support for production assets. The role involves software packaging, scripting for installation, and collaborating with team members to manage PC equipment and inventory.

Information Technology & Services

Responsibilities

Assisting with PC refresh activities and support related to the production assets planned for CLIENT Technology engineers
Identify the software that needs to be packaged and scripted for each business unit based off of application discovery
Package application and load into Software Center
Develop associated scripts to automate the software installation process
Test both the software package and scripted installation procedures to ensure correct functionality
Provide technical expertise to the refresh processes and assist with changes to the tools used and associated project processes
Assist with PC imaging, software installation and PC setup
Provide input to technical meetings related to executing refresh activity
Assist with inventory management of ACT IT / GIS owned PC equipment
Assist the business with identifying the right hardware to order
Maintain seed stock of hardware inventory
Provide and/or install hardware as requested by end users
Notify the appropriate person or team when re-orders are needed
Follow day to day work instructions from onsite Team Lead
Collaborate with team to prioritize and execute PC deliveries

Required

Required Dell certification (existing, or agency/Candidate has plan to complete within 3 months of onboarding on their own dime. NO reimbursement)
2-4 years' experience required in this capacity
PC troubleshooting with hardware and software
Enable or re image with custom software
Customization and repairs, including adding RAM or SSD, and then applying and validating upgrades, software upgrades, security patches

Preferred

Associates degree or higher preferred but not required
