SUE CAD Technician
WGI is a leading consulting firm seeking a highly technical and self-driven SUE CAD Technician. The role involves processing utility field data, creating utility drawings, and supporting the SUE team in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
Process utility field data
Create and/or update utility drawings utilizing processed field data
Prepare digital test hole reports and inventory sheets
Calculate field coordinates based on proposed design documents
Perform QC of preliminary deliverables
Ability to work with survey files/data collected in field
Support project SUE team including records research
Prepare field packages for SUE field crews
Work in a fast-paced environment and overtime as needed to complete project schedules
Work in a collaborative team environment
Developing field calculations, plotting maps, and processing field survey data
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) experience
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years of in-office CAD experience
Work in a fast-paced environment and overtime as needed to complete project schedules
Work in a collaborative team environment
Experience in MicroStation (SS10 and ORD)
Must be able to read and understand Roadway Plans, Construction Plans, Utility as-built's & Utility record drawings
Basic knowledge of utility types
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) experience
Ability to work with survey files/data collected in field
Support project SUE team including records research
Prepare field packages for SUE field crews
Calculate field coordinates based on proposed design documents
Perform QC of preliminary deliverables
Developing field calculations, plotting maps, and processing field survey data
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis
Preferred
Experience with modeling in 3D is a plus
Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D is a plus
Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) experience strongly desired; work with other DOT agencies is a plus
