Emergency Vehicle Electronics Upfitter/Installer

NPAworld is seeking an Emergency Vehicle Electronics Upfitter/Installer to produce quality installations of equipment for emergency and police vehicles. The role involves managing production schedules, installing necessary equipment, and adapting to changing schedules for timely client service.

Responsibilities

Produce quality, consistent & timely installation of equipment
Continue professional development to stay abreast of the latest industry training methods, standards, and best practices, programming, installations, certifications, and products
Advise leadership of safety concerns, damage to a vehicle, innovative ideas, and industry leading approaches to accomplish assigned tasks
Follow and manage your production schedule to meet or exceed production goals daily
Attend pre-build meetings with leadership, follow work orders, acquire materials, and complete builds within allotted labor times
Learn from other technicians and share knowledge with the team and leadership
Install necessary equipment to modify vehicles into emergency and police vehicles including routing and installing wire, controllers, partitions, auxiliary batteries, light bars, push bumpers, power supplies, component trays, and consoles
Disassemble and reassemble factory vehicles
Rewire factory vehicle electrical systems
Fix and install hardware
Document projects, maintain accurate records, find efficiencies while respecting quality, and correspond information appropriately
Adapt to changing schedules to ensure timely client service including off-site mobile installations

Required

Current, valid Arizona Driver's License
Reliable transportation
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic auto mechanic skills and basic 12V electrical wiring skills
Attention to detail with ability to comprehend and act on written and verbal instructions
Ability to understand wiring diagrams and assembly instructions
Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures, and operate electronic diagnostic equipment
Comfortable working in a shop environment with ability to sit, stand, squat, stoop, kneel, bend and twist repetitively

Preferred

EVT Certification is a plus
