AgSource is seeking a Strategic Account Manager who will lead and direct relationships with owners and managers of important progressive dairy farm accounts throughout the USA. This pivotal role involves driving collaboration with sales and marketing resources to execute account strategies and secure new accounts.

Responsibilities

Drive sales by building long-term working relationships with distributors and business partners

Identify opportunities to deliver profit-generating information, services, and products for current and prospective clients

Maintain relationships with ownership and key management on progressive international dairies

Assume primary responsibility for a book of pre-determined accounts

Engage in networking opportunities, such as peer groups and industry conferences, to ensure that on-farm activities are aligned with customer expectations and GENEX standards

Responsible for training distributors or customers on topical items either on genetics, trends in the industry, or key products being offered by Koepon

Support sales and inventory forecasting efforts with other members of the leadership team

Required

5 + years of account management experience

Bachelor of Science Degree (preferably a focus in Animal Science, Dairy Science or Agricultural Science)

Direct experience working in the dairy industry or dairy farm management experience is considered an asset

General understanding and interest in dairy cattle reproduction programs

Familiarity with Dairy Comp 305 (DC305)

Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

Must be a strong team player

Strong oral and written communication skills

Willingness to grow and develop both personally and professionally
