ICB Program Manager Intern

UNCF is the United Negro College Fund, an organization dedicated to supporting HBCU students in achieving educational success. The ICB Program Manager Intern will assist the Program Management team with project coordination, institutional partnerships, and support for major activities like the UNITE Summit.

Responsibilities

Shadow Program Managers and Senior Program Managers across ICB verticals, including Transformation Support, Strategy Development, Executive Leadership, Knowledge Management, Strategic Finance, and Digital Solutions
Attend internal team meetings, cross‑functional working sessions, and partner or institutional engagement calls
Review project materials, institutional profiles, donor requirements, and service provider scopes to build contextual understanding
Support meeting preparation, note‑taking, and follow‑up action items
Assist with tracking institutional project progress and maintaining dashboards or trackers
Support organization of project documentation, files, and materials to strengthen knowledge management practices
Prepare brief summaries, meeting digests, or internal updates for Program Managers
Support service provider coordination, communication, and follow‑ups as needed
Support Program Managers with special projects tied to ICB transformation initiatives
Assist with research, documentation, or tool development to support program delivery and internal processes
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to project workflows and execution
Assist with pre‑conference planning and coordination related to the annual UNITE Summit
Support cross‑team coordination with Events, Strategy Development, and other ICB verticals
Assist with logistics such as attendee tracking, speaker preparation, and materials coordination
Provide on‑site or virtual support during the summit, as applicable
Contribute to post‑conference debriefs, documentation, and synthesis of insights

Required

Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university (junior, senior, or graduate student preferred), undergraduate or graduate student in public administration, education, nonprofit management, business, or a related field
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Professional demeanor and ability to collaborate across teams
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with project management tools is a plus
Interest in higher education, nonprofit program management, and institutional transformation work
Availability to work onsite during our core hours Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Availability for occasional evenings and weekends event(s)
