Responsibilities
Oversee a team of two (2) to four (4) engineers and CAD designers
Be involved in leading Civil Engineering related project aspects including studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates and participate in client meetings. Projects may include planning, modeling, and design of facilities such as public and private facilities including design elements of site layout, utilities, grading, drainage, erosion control, and stormwater management
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders
Provide project management on various sized projects that results in successful outcomes for the client, the company, and staff. Ensure budgets and schedules are adhered to
Ability to execute engineering best practices for civil engineering projects for a wide variety of clients, adapting to new environments quickly
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
Minimum 8 years of professional experience in engineering with a minimum of 4 years project management and a focus on civil engineering project delivery
Professional Engineering License in Virginia; or the ability to become licensed within three (3) months
Successful track record of project delivery through planning, preliminary and final design, including a proven track record and strong desire of providing superior client service and delivery
Proven ability in leading a team of engineers and designers
