Responsibilities

Design, implement, and optimize infrastructure for AI model inference at scale

Lead development of production AI services, including retrieval augmented generation (RAG) and autonomous agents

Serve as technical lead for AI infrastructure initiatives, coordinating across integrated teams

Provide leadership and mentorship for a small, high-performing engineering team

Define solutions for complex, underspecified systems and establish new technical standards

Drive adoption of emerging technologies and best practices across engineering teams

Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to ensure reliability and security

Required

12+ years of experience designing and operating large-scale production systems

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree)

Deep expertise in systems integration and cloud engineering (AWS)

Advanced proficiency with Kubernetes administration and deployment patterns

Strong Python programming skills and experience with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry)

Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and influence organizational change

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred

Experience with AI inference serving technologies (vLLM, LiteLLM)

Familiarity with agentic frameworks (LangChain) and vector databases

Background in high-performance computing or distributed systems
