Staff PCIe Systems Applications Engineer

Responsibilities

Diagnose and determine root causes of issues in PCIe switch products, working closely with firmware, software, hardware, and board design teams to deliver solutions
Provide technical guidance to OEM and cloud customers on integrating PCIe switches into GPU, AI/ML, storage, and custom system designs, including architecture, schematic, and layout reviews
Analyze firmware, driver, OS, BMC logs, and PCIe protocol traces to identify issues; develop debug tools as needed
Create and maintain customer-facing product documentation
Build and maintain relationships with ecosystem partners to support joint customers
Train field teams on PCIe switch features and usage
Develop tools and processes to improve debugging efficiency and customer experience
Coordinate software releases with development teams and support DevOps in integrating fixes and producing release notes
Maintain lab equipment, inventory, and workspace organization
Represent PCIe switch products at industry events
Travel occasionally, including international travel

Qualification

Required

Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering or related field plus 8 years of relevant experience or Masters Degree in Computer Engineering or related field plus 6 years of relevant experience
Experience with protocol level PCIe debugging
Proficiency with firmware, software and hardware
Strong experience with C code
System level experience, drivers, BIOS etc
