Analyzing and summarizing legal documents
Researching, both legal and of people, businesses, and worksites
Evaluating cases and strategically developing defenses
Conducting client meetings and recommending strategies
Investigating facts, planning, preparing and conducting depositions
Preparing and arguing motions
Conducting hearings and mediations
Preparing witnesses and corporate representatives
Briefing at trial and appellate courts
Thinking analytically
Writing defense mediation summaries
Qualification
Required
Actively licensed and in good standing with the State of Georgia
Critical thinking and research skills
Strong writing, analytical, and communications skills with superior attention to detail
1-5 years' experience in defense litigation
Ability to thrive in a high-paced environment, requiring exceptional organizational skills, juggling priorities, and adhering to strict deadlines
Must be a self-starter who can handle multiple projects with competing priorities and understand the importance of deadlines
Client-focused mentality
Take initiative and welcome challenges
Ability to work flexibly and independently within a strong team
Preferred
Solid insurance defense experience with professional liability and/or coverage litigation experience
Ability to review and interpret financial records
