Responsibilities

Completing and maintaining competency in phlebotomy, specimen processing, and basic client service tasks
Obtaining blood samples from patients in a timely manner while following proper collection policy
Ensuring appropriate labeling has occurred and handling specimens according to policy
Performing requisition entry, requisition checks, and filing
Performing other duties as assigned

Required

Completion of phlebotomy competency will be required after 3 months of starting in this position
Completion of Specimen processing competency will be required after 3 months of starting in this position
Completion of basic client service competency will be required after 1 year of starting in this position

Preferred

Phlebotomy certificate upon hire
Less than one year experience as a phlebotomist and/or completion of a Phlebotomy program
