RECORDS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

USAJOBS is seeking a Records Management Specialist to serve in the FLAG ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE of NSTC GREAT LAKES. Responsibilities

You will coordinate the development and implementation of the Naval Service Training Command (NSTC) domain Records Management program
You will manage the transition of the NSTC Domain records maintenance program to updated Electronic Records Management Applications as required by the Department of the Navy
You will Conducts inspections on subordinate commands in support of the NSTC Inspector General Command Inspection Program as required
You will be responsible for the management of email records in accordance with the Federal Records Act and 36 CFR Chapter XII Sub-chapter B for both temporary and permanent email records in an accessible electronic format
You will upload documents and taskers into the Navy’s electronic tracking system and ensures documents are maintained appropriately

Required

Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check
Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
For the GS-07 position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
For the GS-09 positions your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education
