Manager Workforce Planning - (Corporate) - Las Vegas

Responsibilities

Build productive business relationships with Senior leaders in the organization; leverage these relationships to help implement workforce planning scheduling solutions as best appropriate for each property. Help scheduling counterparts to prioritize their time to achieve Workforce planning goals
Assist project managing efforts working cross-functionally with senior leadership, HR, IT, analytics, and property operations to ensure timely and successful implementation of scheduling solutions
Help configure Virtual Roster schedules to implement the system within the given deadlines
Maintain rapport with UKG vendor to ensure smooth implementation activities and synchronization between vendor and internal scheduling counterparts
Drive sharing of best practices on labor optimization opportunities through efficient scheduling and utilization of labor standards and volume forecasts
Serve as corporate owner of workforce scheduling solutions once fully implemented
Help develop and maintain infrastructure to support property scheduling teams in forecasting, time-in-motion studies, productivity standard development and post-mortem analyses
Work as a change agent to identify and execute improvements, including automation, that drive material efficiencies in processes and reporting
Drive training, on-boarding, and development of junior WFP analysts and scheduling counterparts in technical skills, tools & processes. Sustain a pipeline of talent who will maintain/raise the overall capabilities of the team and who will adhere to the desired behavioral tenets of the Analytics department. Mentor the junior staff and help them develop their critical thinking skills, analytical techniques, and business acumen
Support healthy rapport with scheduling counterparts to deliver proactive support where online scheduling is already implemented

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college
3+ years of professional work (or equivalent experience)
Demonstrated business acumen for the Casino industry; can articulate the fundamental drivers of business performance
Very strong quantitative and analytical skills, with a track record of driving measurable business outcomes through well-structured and communicated analyses
Exceptional critical thinking, problem solving, and written and verbal communication skills. Comfort in articulating complex information to a variety of audiences – able to effectively communicate conclusions, and recommendations to business partners, and influence decisions and strategies
Strong interpersonal, communication and consensus building skills; able to develop and manage relationships with senior stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize work for scheduling teams, and meet deadlines while consistently delivering accurate and high-quality work
Demonstrated leadership skills including project management, time management, coaching and innovation; ability to motivate the team and promote teamwork
Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity

Preferred

5+ years of professional work and leadership (or equivalent experience)
Prior experience in the gaming/hospitality industry and experience in centralized scheduling
Experience with Kronos and/or Virtual Roster scheduling software
Bachelor's degree from a top-tier program in one of the following areas: Finance, Marketing, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics/Statistics, Hotel Management, Business, or Data Science
Graduate Degree in one of the following areas or in an equivalent technical field: Business, Economics, Mathematics/Statistics, Hotel Management
Advanced skills in SQL and ideally one or more of the following programming languages: R, VBA, SAS, Python, and experience in working with Google BigQuery. Experience in leading projects using web-based data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Microstrategy. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
