Responsibilities
Teach college-level courses in-person or in a hybrid format on the main Virginia Western campus
Maintain currency in teaching disciplines and trends in community college education
Participate actively in departmental communication
Perform other duties as assigned
Assist the agency or state government in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor
Qualification
Required
Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Minimum of two (2) years of related occupational experience
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to write syllabi and exams
Ability to develop learning strategies, curriculum and assessments
Ability to work with students of varying abilities from diverse backgrounds
Adjunct faculty applying to teach OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certifications in General Industry or Construction must have completed an OSHA Outreach Training Program within the last 5 years
Preferred
Master's degree in Engineering
Teaching experience at the college level
