The Applications Engineer will provide technical advice, support the sales team, and interact with customers to improve processes and drive market growth.

Responsibilities
Demonstrate added-value of Gardner Abrasives products to improve customer processes and demonstrate cost savings
Support the sales team with identifying new business and market growth opportunities
Provide the customer with quotations; product descriptions, specifying materials, geometry, etc
Regularly interact with the manufacturing plant to learn, test, and improve product performance
Qualification
Required
5+ years of work experience preferred
Strong interpersonal skills
Self-starter and relationship-focused
Customer-orientated and solution-driven
Ability to commute: 481 Gardner Street, South Beloit, IL 61080
Schedule: 8-10 hour shifts
7:00 am - 4:00 pm
Must be willing to travel (25%)
Preferred
Preferred areas of education, certifications, and skills; manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, and mechanical engineering
Previous sales, application, or machining experience is a plus
Cutting tool, dressing tool, and/or grinding experience
