Graduate Intern, Delta Wellness - Data Science (Summer 2026)

Responsibilities

Locate, extract, and combine data from a variety of sources into single, analyzable datasets
Summarize analysis data using statistical, tabular, and visualization methods
Utilize analytical tools to measure relationships between predictor variables and outcomes of interest
Assemble reports of analysis results, summarizing key takeaways and insights while answering business questions around employee wellness
Maintain and continually improve analyses and reports based on input from key stakeholders
Identify and continually seek to improve data and tools available to Delta as a part of the Delta Wellness platform

Required

Currently pursuing a Graduate degree ideally in Data Science, Statistics, Computer/Information Science, Mathematics, or another relevant quantitative field
Must commit to the internship timeline: May 18th, 2026, through August 7, 2026
Must be able to work onsite in the Atlanta, GA office
1+ years of R, Python, or other programming/scripting languages
1+ years of SQL experience and an understanding of efficient query practices
1+ years of experience in data analysis, statistics, data mining, machine learning, information science, or another relevant quantitative field
Functional understanding of basic and object-oriented programming concepts (loops, conditionals, variables, functions, multi-dimensional arrays)
Must be comfortable working in group and individual settings
Understanding of cloud computing technologies like AWS
Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data
Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles
Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States
