Required

Real estate development or real estate private equity/fund finance experience – you've worked on actual deals, not just analyzed them from the sidelines
Strong understanding of project-based accounting (WIP, job costing, budget-to-actual tracking)
Fund or real estate SPV experience – you've managed fund-level accounting, capital deployment tracking, distributions, or investor reporting for a private real estate fund or similar investment vehicle
Direct experience deploying capital into real estate investments – not fundraising from donors, not underwriting loans for a bank, but actually managing the deployment of investor capital into land, development, or income-producing real estate
Experience working directly with investors and capital partners – preparing reports, explaining performance, and managing expectations
Multi-entity consolidation experience – you've managed financials across operating companies and investment entities
Ability to operate in a lean, entrepreneurial environment – you don't need a team of five to get things done
High accountability, attention to detail, and a hands-on execution mindset – you own outcomes, not just tasks
7+ years in senior finance leadership (CFO or VP Finance in a real estate or fund context)
