Responsibilities
Processes payments on vendor invoices, reconciles accounts and maintains the accounting and financial records following department and County policies
Researches accounting issues and assists in providing information for audits
Post’s information and balances the general ledgers and accounts
Performs approvals of financial documents, including journal vouchers, invoices, and purchase order
Provides informational and transactional support services to external and internal customers
Qualification
Required
Two years of clerical accounting, bookkeeping, or specialized administrative experience
High school or General Educational Development (GED)
A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire
Preferred
Two or more years of clerical accounting, bookkeeping, or specialized administrative experience in healthcare or government
Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred
Moderate to advanced experience with CGI/Advantage Financial Software Suite
Experience with accounts payable
