Responsibilities

You will develop and implement anti-terrorism polices, tailor the program to mission and threat conditions, and provide expert oversight and advisement to leadership on program risks, vulnerabilities, and compliance requirements
You will be responsible for managing anti-terrorism training and certifications, overseeing Random Antiterrorism measures, and ensuring adherence to Foreign Clearance Guide requirements
You will maintain awareness of emerging threats, establish guidance, and represent the command on installation antiterrorism working groups
You will conduct antiterrorism training and awareness initiatives and perform risk and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with DoD, DoN, and NAVSEA standards
You will assist with implementing local anti-terrorism/force protection policies, procedures, and documentation for Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head
You will manage the antiterrorism/force protection requirements for official and unofficial foreign travel and approve official foreign travel in the Defense Travel System (DTS)

Required

Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check
Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required
You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) certification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at NT-02 or equivalent to the (GS-08) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at NT-03 or equivalent to the (GS-10) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
