Responsibilities

Evaluation of new processes, parts, and products (tooling change, program care, ramp-up, etc.)
Planning, development, and execution of material flow for production
Assisting in continuous improvement projects
PP&C Project Management coordination and reporting
Master data creation for all Program Integration scope requests
Development of manufacturing plans (routings)
Development of bills of materials (on-going)
Establishing operational scheduling durations (on-going)
Associate operations with resources for labor and equipment (on-going)
Supporting creation of shop floor control user interface screens (on-going)
Management of inventory levels, reorder points, usage rates, and lead times for all Quality Controlled Procured Items
Facilitation of the resolution of technical system problems associated with our MRP, MES, ERP, TSO, APS, etc., systems
Assisting and training shop personnel in using our shop floor control system (as required)
Planning and development of material flow for production supply
Monitoring, support, and evaluation of projects
Gathering data, analyzing, evaluating, and driving appropriate changes to material flow based on cross-functional teams
Analyzing data and developing KPIs to monitor performance and plan improvements
Other duties may be assigned related to Operations and Production Control

Required

BS in engineering/science discipline: No experience
OR MS in engineering/science discipline: No experience
In addition, the applicant must meet the requirements of DOE O 426.2 (i.e., Baccalaureate in engineering or related scientific major, 2 years job-related experience, and 1 year nuclear experience; or a DOE O 426.2A alternative). DOE 426.2 experience requirements can be satisfied following employment
Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status
The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required
This position may require entry into the Material Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (10 C.F.R. Part 712), which requires successful competition of a DOE counterintelligence evaluation and may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination
This position may be categorized as a 'designated position' identified by 10 C.F.R. Part 709, requiring successful completion of a DOE counterintelligence evaluation that may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination

As an employee, you may be required to receive and maintain a security clearance from the United States Department of Energy in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive information or matter

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from an accredited university, with a Supply Chain focus in Manufacturing
7 - 10 years of logistics experience
SAP experience
Strong project and process management experience
Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
Experience in training others
Analytical and conceptual thinking
Project management
Process planning
Experience in logistics process development
