SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

NAVWAR is seeking a Supervisory Financial Management Analyst to serve as the principal advisor to senior managers on financial management policies and practices. The role involves directing program execution reviews, preparing briefs for senior managers, and conducting evaluations of financial issues raised in audit reports.

Responsibilities

You will serve as the principal advisor to senior managers on the development, implementation and revision of financial management policies, plans, and programs
You will develop, determine, and interpret of budgetary policies and practices
You will direct and/or perform continuing program execution review, analysis and appraisal of the major operating and support programs within the organization
You will prepare briefs for senior managers on program execution and provides recommendations to correct program variances or problem areas
You will conduct management evaluation of issues of financial consequence raised in audit reports, budget reviews, etc. and recommends alternatives for corrective action

Required

Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check
Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience providing direction and guidance on audit remediation to sustain compliance with requirements, regulations and policies
Developing critical path milestones to remediate audit deficiencies
Monitor execution of plans to ensure risks are evaluated and elevated to meet targeted milestones
