Senior Optical Networking Customer Support Engineer
Conexess Group is a full-service staffing firm that has established itself in various markets since 2009. They are seeking a Senior Optical Networking Customer Support Engineer to provide proprietary software support, troubleshoot server OS, assist IT administration, and conduct customer training both onsite and via web meetings.

Qualification
Required
Deep knowledge of optical networking, specifically including DWDM/OTN & Ethernet from various vendors
In-depth NOC and/or onsite experience in provisioning, troubleshooting, and overall process development
Knowledge of TL1, SNMP, CLI, REST, RESTCONF, Netconf/Yang protocols
Understanding and experience with leading telecom equipment, optical networking, and troubleshooting skills
4-7+ years minimum work experience in telecom, preferably in a NOC environment
Excellent customer service support
Familiarity with Microsoft Office software, as well as other communication packages – Microsoft Teams, Cisco WebEx, Zoom, BlueJeans, Google Meet, and others utilized daily, with video
Must be able to provide own PC desktop support
Must be a self-starter and self-motivated with a strong initiative to learn, exhibit outstanding teamwork, and have excellent communication skills for cross-departmental management
Associate degree or higher in engineering or computer science field
The candidate must have current Secret or Top-Secret clearance
The candidate must be able to report to a customer site up to 5 days a week
Preferred
LINUX/UNIX working knowledge is a plus
SONET DS1 thru OC192 and SDH is a plus
