Responsibilities

Applies statistical and research principles and techniques to a wide variety of issues and projects
Develops research designs and statistically sound protocols and works with staff to carry out specific research studies
Develops statistical and computerized models for analyzing data and interprets results to support business and client needs and facilitate informed recommendations and decisions
Performs complex statistical analyses such as predictive modeling, forecasting, multiple regression, trend analysis, log linear analysis, factor analysis, and multi-variate analysis
Uses parametric and non-parametric statistics
Selects, designs, organizes and works out statistical techniques and research designs most suitable for the project/study at hand
Evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of various statistical techniques and research designs, selecting those which achieve the most valid results
Conducts in-depth literature searches and writes scientific papers
Instructs staff in research and statistical techniques, methods, and use of statistical analysis software
Oversees the production of research proposals, development and maintenance of databases, and interpretation and writing of research and statistical reports for various intra and extra departmental audiences
May assist in the planning, design, selection, and evaluation of technologies related to data retrieval and analysis

Required

A Master's degree in biostatistics, epidemiology, public health, psychology, statistics or a closely related area with significant coursework in research methodology and statistics and one (1) year of professional experience with significant involvement in research and statistical analysis

Preferred

Experience in analyzing and summarizing appointment data using business intelligence tools and statistical software
Experience with spatial data analysis and mapping using Geographical Information Systems (GIS) platforms (e.g., Quantum Geographical Information Systems (QGIS) and Environmental System Research Institute (ESRI)) for operational support and resource planning
Experience integrating and automating data workflows using Power Platform tools (e.g. Power Apps, Power Automate), and connecting and managing data from sources such as SharePoint, SQL Server, and Excel
Experience applying statistical techniques (such as forecasting, regression and trend analysis) to datasets, including preparing reports and visualizations for internal and external stakeholders
Experience in supporting, administering, and troubleshooting appointment management systems (e.g. Salesforce or Quick Service Center (QSC) appointment systems), and performing data validation and generating reports
Experience in creating, running, and maintaining Salesforce reports and dashboards, and collaborating with internal teams to align data systems with operational requirements
Experience preparing annual and quarterly DMV branch data reports in accordance with legislative mandates (e.g. Public Act 22-44), including tasks related to data verification and timely submission
Experience serving as a data and research point-of-contact, collaborating with internal and external partners to assess data needs and deliver analytical or compliance reports
Experience serving as a Sales Force Administrator and Quick Service Center (QSC) Administrator
