SUPV IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN)

Responsibilities

You will manage staffing levels and work assignments to effectively assign work to subordinates
You will identify and address IT workforce planning and management issues, such as recruitment, retention, and training
You will develop new techniques and establish new approaches and methods for information technology policies, plans, and procedures
You will provide policy guidance to information technology management, staff, and customers
You will manage and perform assignments involving review of contractor proposals
You will manage the implementation, publication, and dissemination of information processing planning and/or procedural standards to the user community
You will serve as a project manager and coordinate required actions for implementing IT initiatives to improve command and customer capabilities

Required

Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, role code Cyber Policy and Strategy Planner, proficiency Intermediate
You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases
You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift
Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport
Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics
This position requires the ability to occasionally lift/carry items weighing 50 pounds
You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license
This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements
This position may require rotating shift work
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate conducting operational planning involving strategic plans, workforce planning, resource management and policy and standards development in the IT environment
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving
