Safety Coordinator (Human Resource Analyst 2)
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Safety Coordinator for the Pennsylvania Game Commission and Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission. This role involves administering the safety program, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and providing guidance on safety policies while collaborating with other safety professionals.

Responsibilities
Maintaining the agency's safety program to ensure compliance with state and federal laws, regulations, and standards; published directives; collective bargaining agreements; the Accident and Illness Prevention Program; the Personnel Rules; and past practices
Providing guidance and recommendations to all levels of management in the creation and formulation of policy and promotion of sound safety practices
Providing safety related communication and training to employees regarding the agency's safety policies, procedures, and contact information
Investigating workplace injuries or reviewing investigations conducted by agency personnel to identify root causes and corrective actions
Facilitating meetings with agency personnel to review incidents
Participating in labor/management meetings as a safety subject matter expert
Analyzing the reporting of incidents and illnesses by the Third-Party Administrator (TPA) to evaluate the effectiveness of the reporting system
Taking a lead role in maintaining a safe work environment within the Commissions through inspections, interpreting, and explaining proper safety procedures
Working closely with the Department of General Services and other state agencies in regards to safety hazards
Developing and conducting training in safety related topics
Qualification
Required
One year as a Human Resource Analyst 1 or Equal Opportunity Specialist 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
Two years of analytical experience that includes one year of professional human resource or equal opportunity experience, and a bachelor's degree; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training
You must meet the PA residency requirement
