IT Specialist (Hybrid)

Responsibilities
Manage SaaS tools for all Coforma employees by providing support via IT support tickets
Work closely with the Senior Director of IT in launching new infrastructure as we continue to grow
Manage our inventory, network, and conference room equipment at our headquarters in North Bethesda, MD
Bring your technical skills to our senior technicians to identify gaps and provide solutions to the team
Make a huge impact by helping bring large-scale IT internal projects (Okta connections, intranet and other systems migrations, etc.) to the finish line
Complete orientation and onboarding, and familiarize yourself with internal IT systems and processes
Complete meet and greet sessions with MD-based employees working at our headquarters
Confirm proper access to internal systems, Google Workspace, Kandji/IRU, Slack, etc, and attend weekly team meetings
Train on internal tools such as Slack, Lattice, Jira, Google Workspace, and Kandji/IRU
Start working on the tickets assigned to you in JIRA
Familiarize yourself with our asset management system to start understanding our current process
Serve as the IT front line for the Helpdesk ticketing system
Document any challenges, obstacles, or issues encountered while providing support for technology and equipment at headquarters
Identify personal knowledge or skills gaps and create a professional development plan to address them
Work with our senior technicians on the team to establish a proper escalation process to our Level 2 and Level 3 technicians
Standardize and expand record-keeping across all internal systems to maintain data consistency and ensure that records match across the organization
Manage the complete inventory lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records within our internal system
Qualification
Required
Applicants must currently reside within a reasonable commuting distance of our headquarters (no more than 30 minutes away) to be considered for this position
A minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT Specialist/Operations/Helpdesk role providing hands-on technical support to colleagues in person and remotely
2 or more years of asset management experience (Mac MDM solutions, Mosyle, Jamf, Kandji/Iru, or similar)
Deep hands-on knowledge of Apple-based systems (we are currently a 100% Mac shop)
Extensive experience with Google Workspace Enterprise: user management; groups management; security controls; Gmail, Calendar, and Drive management; DLP; and GAM
Experience with IT Ticketing systems such as Jira Service Desk or equivalent
Experience managing several SaaS products, including Slack, Zoom, Adobe Cloud, and Monday.com
A strong customer service mindset and focus on fixing/resolving issues quickly and correctly the first time
Legally authorized to work in the US now and in the future without sponsorship
Preferred
Prior experience working in a professional services/consulting or federal government environment
Working knowledge of SSO, IdP, SAML, and SCIM
Experience with NIST, FISMA, CIS, or other government security compliance protocols
