AV Engineering Specialists

The AV Engineering Specialists supports the technical operations of Facilities Management by ensuring the reliable performance of audiovisual systems and plays a key role in maintaining high-quality audio/video capabilities for various institutional events.

Hospital & Health Care

Responsibilities

Configure room systems to support videoconference and distance learning activities
Relocate and adjust support equipment to meet client needs
Operate room systems during events to ensure optimal performance
Serve as a facility host during scheduled events
Secure rooms and equipment at the completion of events
Assist with installing videoconference and multimedia audio/video systems in conference rooms, auditoriums, and classrooms
Support maintenance of audio/visual and related systems
Help integrate new systems and components as needed
Identify and report equipment issues requiring repair or replacement
Operate equipment used in daily TOC activities
Support tape duplication processes
Execute satellite uplink and downlink transmissions
Route audio and video signals to designated destinations
Set up and operate CODEC and Streaming Media equipment
Provide engineering assistance for UTTV productions
Support technical operations during production activities
Assist MSAT groups with video-related tasks
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Required

High School Diploma or Equivalent
7 years Relevant experience
5 years Relevant experience with Associate's degree
3 years Relevant experience with Bachelor's degree

Preferred

Associate's Degree Electronics discipline
Bachelor's Degree Electronics discipline
Certified Broadcast Television Engineer (CBTE) Certification by the Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) as a Senior Broadcast Television Engineer
Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI) Society of Cable Television Engineers (SCTE) as a Senior Cable Technician
