Responsibilities
Reviews incoming referrals and orders
Triages patients
Schedules appointments and/or procedures in BCM and BSLMC, assuring that every referred patient will have a procedure date scheduled
Works closely with the referral center
Contacts patients for instructions before the procedures and notifies patients of date/time/arrival time
Requests additional information from referring physicians if needed
Works closely with the endoscopy care coordination team to fill endoscopy block
Works on order work queue to select orders and schedule patients
Works closely with MD for any patient special instructions, including procedure locations and clearances prior
Performs cross-checks for procedural or scheduling conflicts to ensure accuracy of exam
Verifies and confirms patient identification and patient information including patient precautions and other vital information on all documentation, as observed by supervisor
Responsible for making and scheduling patient appointments in an efficient and timely manner; routes calls to appropriate staff member
Performs additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
One year of relevant experience
Preferred

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment
