They are seeking a highly organized, detail-driven Accounting & Billing Specialist to support and strengthen their financial operations, including maintaining accurate financial records and managing billing and collections.

Responsibilities

Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable and accounts receivable
Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations with high accuracy
Maintain and monitor tenant billing, including rent, utilities, and additional charges
Track incoming payments and proactively manage outstanding balances
Process vendor invoices and ensure compliance with internal policies
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Maintain detailed property-level expense tracking and budget monitoring
Help improve accounting workflows, automation, and reporting systems
Communicate professionally with tenants, vendors, and internal team members regarding billing matters

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 2+ years accounting experience (real estate or property management strongly preferred)
Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required — not optional)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational ability
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with leadership and operations teams

Preferred

Experience working with property management or leasing accounting preferred
Experience in real estate, property management, or multi-entity environments is highly preferred
Experience with DoorLoop or similar property management software
Experience handling multi-property or multi-entity accounting
