Responsibilities
Provide electrical engineering design services for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects
Develop electrical power, lighting, grounding, and low-voltage system designs from concept through construction
Prepare and review electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical reports
Perform load calculations, short-circuit studies, arc-flash analyses, and equipment sizing
Ensure designs comply with NEC, California Electrical Code, Title 24, local AHJ requirements, and applicable standards
Stamp and seal electrical engineering documents for California projects
Coordinate with architects, owners, contractors, and other engineering disciplines
Participate in client meetings and support project proposals as needed
Review submittals, RFIs, and change orders; provide construction administration support
Mentor junior engineers and designers and support internal quality control processes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
5–10 years of electrical design experience in a consulting engineering environment
Active California Professional Engineer (PE) license
Strong working knowledge of NEC, CEC, Title 24, and California building codes
Proficiency with electrical design and analysis software (AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, ETAP, EasyPower, or similar)
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with clients and project teams
Preferred
Experience leading electrical design efforts on medium to large consulting projects
Familiarity with energy-efficient design, sustainability, and renewable energy systems
Experience in markets such as healthcare, higher education, data centers, or industrial facilities
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced consulting environment
