Intern/Aide - Pediatrics - Nutrition (Part-time)
Baylor College of Medicine is seeking an Intern to support ongoing biomedical and public health research at the Children’s Nutrition Research Center. The intern will assist with data entry, prepare materials for specimen collection, and learn research procedures for human subjects’ studies.

Responsibilities
Support research activities by preparing paper templates and specimen‑collection materials for study visits
Assist with data entry, double‑checking research records, and resolving discrepancies to ensure data accuracy
Learn and follow regulations and procedures related to human research and handling human subjects’ data
Collaborate with experienced research team members to support day‑to‑day study operations
Gain hands‑on experience in research data collection, documentation, and study‑support tasks
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must be enrolled in high school or be a high school graduate (or equivalent secondary education) or enrolled in an institution of higher education
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment
Preferred
Background or academic focus in biology, nutrition, public health, biochemistry, kinesiology, or related fields
Interest in public health, nutrition, or biomedical research
Strong attention to detail, especially in data entry and record verification
Ability to follow research protocols, regulations, and standard operating procedures
Effective communication and teamwork skills when supporting research staff
Willingness to learn new research processes and contribute to study operations
Comfortable working in a structured research environment with human subjects' data
