Responsibilities
Oversees recruitment, hiring and staffing efforts
Process’s new hire paperwork, conducts employee onboarding and pre-employment screening
Identify and resolve compensation and benefits issues
Supports processes, such as FMLA/LOA and Workers Compensation
Help coordinate and execute company functions
Answers and responds to phone calls and e-mail inquiries
Onsite plant safety coordinator responsible for promoting safety
Administer employee reimbursement-based benefits programs
Regularly engages and interacts with employees on the plant floor through frequent 'Shop Walks'
Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems
Evaluates the effectiveness of safety programs in the plant
Responsible for purchasing card used to buy office and event supplies
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Human Resources experience/background (preferred 2-5+ years' experience)
Strong organization and time management/project management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated skills in employee relations with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Exhibits sound judgment and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential situations and information
Possess a committed work ethic that values punctuality and attendance
Ability to work night and weekend hours on rare occasions
Preferred
Knowledge of company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards a plus
Ability to conduct training
