Responsibilities
Directs engagements, which includes the timeline, budget, schedule, and Associates required
Reviews and prepares workpapers
Assures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations
Assists with research and planning according to the current laws and/or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
May begin to specialize in one specific area of the Firm’s practice
Supervises In-Charge Associates and Associates
May be responsible for several jobs at one time
Participates in proposals and other practice development/marketing activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Office Suite
Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
Highly motivated
Willing to stay up to date through continuing education and continuous reading of professional journals
Ability to supervise and train Associates
Ability to interact well with clients
Involved in community/business associations
Preferred
Master's degree in Accounting
4+ years of public accounting experience
CPA designation
ProSystems, Engagement or other related software experience
