Responsibilities

Demonstrate comprehensive technical knowledge of embedded microprocessor design and integration for ARM Cores, DDR memory interfaces, and high-bandwidth USB and Ethernet
Utilize simulation tools such as LTSpice for circuitry, HyperLynx for signal integrity, and MATLAB for system-level modeling
Lead the full design cycle, including requirement analysis, schematic capture (using Mentor VX/Designer), and complex high-speed layout analysis
Execute subsystem and system-level test plans, using lab equipment like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers to identify and resolve critical hardware defects
Design for MIL-STD-461 (EMI/EMC) and adhere to IPC standards to ensure hardware survivability in high-reliability environments
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance

Required

Bachelor's degree in electrical/computer engineering or a related field
6+ years of relevant experience (4+ years with a master's degree)

Familiarity with SDR architectures, embedded SW/VHDL, and configuration management tools like Agile
Nuanced understanding of Software Defined Radio (SDR) architectures and interactions between digital boards and RF circuitry
Experience using embedded software, scripting (e.g., Python), or VHDL to automate design analysis and facilitate rapid troubleshooting
Proficiency with Agile PLM software to manage product data and streamline manufacturing introduction
Familiarity with Boundary Scan tools (JTAG) for testing high-density PCBAs where physical probe access is limited
