Planning Manager
Parsons is anticipating the need for a Planning Manager to join their team and support a complex infrastructure project. In this role, you will lead the development, integration, and management of complex project schedules, ensuring milestones, costs, and risks are controlled to support on-time, on-budget delivery.

Responsibilities
Develop and lead the creation and maintenance of comprehensive project schedules and baselines aligned with strategic project objectives and timelines
Oversee and evaluate project progress by tracking milestones and deliverables, and promptly reporting issues or deviations to senior leadership and key stakeholders
Lead collaboration with cross-functional project teams to ensure seamless integration and synchronization of scheduling activities across all phases of the project lifecycle
Execute updates and ongoing management of project management tools, schedules, and databases to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Facilitate clear and effective communication among project stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and regulatory authorities, to ensure alignment and transparency
Proactively identify and assess potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies
Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and policies related to project scheduling and adherence to industry best practices
Provide expert scheduling insights and strategic recommendations to support the PMO and Assurance function
Lead the preparation of key project documentation, including status reports, meeting minutes, and performance analyses
Promote a culture of continuous improvement by advocating best-practice scheduling methodologies
Analyze and monitor critical path activities and float erosion, advising leadership on corrective actions
Establish and monitor project budgets and costs, ensuring accurate cost forecasts and profiles
Assess work valuation and accruals to ensure costs are correctly coded and reflected in financial reporting
Manage information requirements from delivery teams to ensure data is accurately captured and maintained
Prepare high-level summary reports highlighting project issues, risks, upcoming milestones, and required actions
Support the Project Manager and Project Team to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with defined objectives
Perform additional duties as required or assigned
Qualification
Required
10+ years' experience in project controls or planning roles, with a proven track record on high-value infrastructure or construction projects
Previous experience in a similar planning or project management role
Strong project management and scheduling expertise
Ability to effectively engage with and manage stakeholders including clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams
Proficiency with project management tools, document management systems, and software such as Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and scheduling platforms
Extensive knowledge of project management principles and practices
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong capability in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks
Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions
Ability to govern and drive outcomes to ensure high-quality service
Minimum Level 8 degree (or equivalent) in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Preferred
Knowledge of quality management and process improvement practices, preferably within the construction or infrastructure sector
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
