Responsibilities

Performs compliance program evaluations and reviews
Aids in the tracking and reporting on program effectiveness and improvements
Guides compliance activities organization-wide
Assists in executing and tracking the annual compliance workplan and reporting status
Aids in drafting and updating compliance specific policies and procedures
Tracks and communicates approved operational policies and procedures to stakeholders
Conducts risk assessments and evaluations
Aids in the monitoring and reporting of risk management activities and progress
Guides operational areas to assess impact and determine necessary actions for identified regulatory changes
Aids in the monitoring, reporting and assessment of compliance with regulatory changes
Investigates and tracks status of reported concerns or violations ensuring prompt resolution according to established turnaround time
Communicates investigation findings to relevant parties
Plans and determines scope of compliance audits
Conducts fieldwork and testing compliance controls
Documents audit findings and observations
Collects and analyzes compliance data and metrics
Prepares reports for core compliance activities to inform management and stakeholders
Tracks compliance performance against established KPIs, identifying trends and patterns in the data
Assists in investigating reported compliance concerns, gathering information, and conducting interviews
Documents investigation findings and recommendations
Performs root cause analyses of compliance deficiencies or violations
Develops and documents compliance specific corrective action plans
Monitors the effectiveness of implemented corrective action measures
Designs and develops compliance training materials
Monitors and performs audits ad hoc based on corrective action plan timelines and/or business needs
Maintains accurate compliance files, logs, and documentation
Stays informed about basic compliance standards relevant to the industry
Attends meetings, educational conferences, and training workshops and serves on committees
Participates in college and university committee activities as assigned
Maintains data integrity and confidentiality
Completes special projects as assigned
Performs other duties as assigned or required

Required

Bachelor's Degree
Two (2) to four (4) years of related experience
Working knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
General knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
Proficient skills in giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
Proficient skills in talking to others to convey information effectively
Proficient skills in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
Proficient understanding of written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents
Proficient skills in considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the appropriate one
Proficient skills in communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
Proficient skills in identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions

May be required to work nights or weekends
May be exposed to short, intermittent, and/or prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing in performance of job duties
May be required to accomplish job duties using various types of equipment/supplies, to include but not limited to pens, pencils, and computer keyboards
