Responsibilities
Design & Deploy: Build secure, scalable AWS architectures across GovCloud and Commercial regions
Networking & DNS: Configure VPCs, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink and advanced DNS (Route 53 PHZ, Resolver endpoints, hybrid DNS)
Automation: Use Terraform (or CloudFormation/CDK) for Infrastructure as Code; set up CI/CD pipelines
Security & Compliance: Implement FedRAMP/NIST 800-53 controls, IAM best practices, encryption, and prepare ATO documentation
Containers & Serverless: Work with EKS/ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, and microservices patterns
Operations: Ensure reliability, observability (CloudWatch, Prometheus), cost optimization, and disaster recovery
Leadership: Act as technical lead, mentor engineers, and collaborate with security/compliance teams
Qualification
Required
8–12+ years of experience (5+ years AWS, 2+ years GovCloud & FedRAMP)
Deep AWS networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53 Resolver, PrivateLink)
Strong Terraform skills for multi-account deployments
Expertise in FedRAMP compliance, NIST 800-53 mapping, and ATO processes
Hands-on with CI/CD, automation, and scripting (Python, Shell)
Knowledge of containers (EKS/ECS), serverless (Lambda), and security tools (KMS, GuardDuty, Config)
Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Security Specialty, CISSP/CCSP
