Responsibilities
Lead the Department of Radiology, comprising over 1,110 faculty members and trainees
Sustain and elevate clinical and academic performance
Bring to fruition a fully integrated clinical and academic model
Plan and execute system-wide strategies
Develop high-functioning teams and future leaders
Advance clinical, teaching, research, and administrative activities of the Department, MGB, and HMS
Report to MGB’s President of Academic Medical Centers
Qualification
Required
Accomplished physician and leader with the ability to advance the clinical, teaching, research, and administrative activities of the Department, MGB, and HMS
Nationally and internationally recognized as an outstanding clinician, teacher, and investigator in the field of radiology
Distinguished academic credentials, including an MD or MD/PhD degree
Accomplishments in research, training, and clinical expertise, commensurate with appointment to the faculty at the rank of Professor or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School
Detailed operational expertise
Sharp focus on innovation and entrepreneurship
Ability to plan and execute system-wide strategies
Commitment to developing high-functioning teams and future leaders
Deep financial acumen
Preferred
Appointment to the faculty at the rank of Professor (strongly preferred) or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School
