Responsibilities
Interpret and analyze blueprints, sketches, and drawings to determine machining requirements
Generate CNC programs based on drawings, sketches, models, and other relevant data
Program CNC machines with 2-5 axis capabilities to optimize efficiency and precision
Design and machine fixtures necessary to complete machining jobs as needed
Assist with machine setups and configurations to ensure smooth production
Collaborate with toolroom personnel to acquire necessary tooling for machining projects
Identify and communicate quoting issues to management for resolution
Oversee and ensure completion of routine monthly machine maintenance
Contribute to the development and implementation of shop safety rules to minimize downtime
Ensure compliance with current shop safety regulations and procedures
Mentor CNC operators to enhance their knowledge and skill set in machining processes
Maintain an accurately detailed shop labor schedule to support labor tracking functions
Perform other duties as required
Qualification
Required
8-10 years of CNC programming and machining experience required
Proficiency in SolidWorks and HSM Cam Works software
Strong understanding of CNC programming for multi-axis machines
Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to precision and accuracy
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Dependability and willingness to work long hours as needed
Must be able to pass a post-offer / pre-placement drug screen and job-related employment physicals
Must also submit to a post-offer / pre-employment background check that verifies criminal history
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred
High School Diploma or GED is preferred
